Getting Started

Starting therapy can be a transformative and empowering experience. It takes courage to take that first step, but it is a step towards growth and self-discovery. The journey of therapy begins by finding a therapist who is the right fit for you. Once you have found your therapist, the next step is scheduling an appointment and preparing yourself mentally to open up and be honest. Remember that therapy is a collaborative process, and you have an active role in shaping your therapeutic journey. It may not always be easy, but the rewards of therapy can be truly life-changing.

Fees

My fee for a 50-minute counseling session is $175. I accept many forms of payment: cash, check, credit card, Paypal and Venmo.

FAQs

  • Yes. Although this is not a specialty area of mine, I am LGBTQIA+ supportive and have some experience counseling such individuals.

  • I only provide counseling services. A psychiatrist would be the best person to prescribe medication for emotional or behavioral issues.

  • I’m agnostic. Medications help many people, but they present their own sets of problems. However, I’m a counselor: I focus on using counseling to help people deal with things. I won’t either push you or discourage you from using meds.
